- Program- Jane gave us a fantastic overview of what life was like in Afghanistan when she went there as a peace corps volunteer in the 1970's- how much has changed and how much hasn't changed.  Jane also gave us an article that was published on Sept. 5, 2006 about the current situation in Afghanistan and how the Taliban is still present and wreaking havoc in the country.
